| Today was a revolutionary day for our group in that we completely changed our project the day before our final Harvard presentation. We have decided to move away from the idea of using rings, to creating a cross between and a passport and a Mario/board game. The new game will utilize a game board and stamps in order to encourage students to meet with teachers outside of class. We developed this idea early today in a group meeting, and we were able to flesh it out more as the day progressed and we went about our scavenger hunt. While it was something that needed to be done, the ring was hard to let go of, due to how hard we had worked on it as a group. Another difficult piece to let go of was any sort of incentive as a our teachers constantly told us, an incentive is counterproductive to our point. |   |

DeleteGood work, Hunter! I am also much happier with the passport stamp idea. I think it will be a much feasible and easier to use product.
ReplyDeleteI would also like to add that today's scavenger hunt was a lot of fun and that while the ring idea was hard to let go of, it was not a feasible idea for the amount of time remaining. I also think the passport is easier to use than the ring and will be more fun for students. I am excited to see how the game board turns out. I think it will look very cool.

ReplyDeleteHunter i really liked how you showed the amount of work we did in the morning to get our idea. We thought of creating a passport map where you move spaces until you level up. We are trying not to have incentives, because it takes away from a real bonds.
ReplyDeletei enjoyed the fact that we were all able to come to a consensus on stepping back from Iphone 3.0 to Iphone 1.0. the fact that we all agreed to step back nearly right away to work on something that can actually be achieved was a huge step forward. the presentation that we made shouldve had more deapth to it and explain everything we changed more, although what we had was alright.
